Eggless Tiramisu

Eggless Tiramisu  


A very famous Italian dessert which you can easily make in your kitchen with the ingredients which are locally available.Italian meal is not  complete without this dessert.Traditionally a very soft Italian mascaspone cheese is used in this dessert.The main flavour in this dessert comes from coffee which is used for the soaking the sponge.Let’s plan to make this desert in our dinner today I am sure your family will simply love it!


•Eggless sponge cake (7”cut horizontally into 3 slices)
•4 tsp vanilla custard powder.
•1 ½ cup milk.
•¼ cup sugar.
•1tsp instant coffee powder.
•4 tbsp hung curd.
•3 to 4 drops rum essence or rum and if you don’t have it you can leave it out.
•4 tbsp whipped cream(available readymade in the market and if you don’t have it take any carton packed cream chill it and whip it with a beater over a bowl full of ice to prevent it from turning into butter).
•1 tbsp coco powder for dusting on top.

•Mix custard powder in a little cold milk.
•Heat the remaining milk in a pan when it starts boiling add the custard mixture,cook stirring continously till very thick,add sugar and keep stirring till the sugar dissolves,keep aside to cool.
•Heat 1 cup water in a pan boil and add coffee powder to it,stir and set aside to cool when it has cooled completely add few drops of rum to it.
•To the cooled custard mixture add whipped cream and hung curd,mix and keep aside.
•In a bowl place 1 slice of cake and sprinkle little coffee mixture over it to make it moist.
•Spread some custard mixture all over it.
•Place 2nd slice over it,sprinkle coffee mixture, spread some custard mixture and cover with the 3rd slice.
•Again sprinkle the remaining coffee mixture over it and top with the remaining custard mixture ,spread over the sides also.
•Now sprinkle coco powder over the tiramisu with the help of a seive.
•Chill in the refrigerator for 2 to 3 hours and serve chilled.
